So today I took part of one of the German Control Center Simulator event to test the thing out as a driver standpoint. For driver's, there is not much difference compared to BCS, though it can be a bit more fun because you have to actually interact with somebody.
General gameplay is the same, but the biggest differences are:
- Instead of picking a trip yourself you have to request/cancel trips from the control center manager(s), prefferably through voice chat but there is a message style conversation also (no chatbox like in BCS).
- There are events. So far I encountered a event that passenger attacked another passenger, you need to contact the Dispatch and they will call the police and ambulance who arrived 4 minutes later.
- Sometimes ticket inspectors come onto your bus (ofc you dont' see them in the OMSI engine itself) and they will fine passengers without tickets.
- Biggest change is how you get payed, you don't get payed per trip, you get payed depending on how much money was earned during the event in total. That money will be divided between hosting company all drivers who drove.
Otherwise everything is basically the same as BCS. You can choose any bus available in the event or hosting company depot the same as usual.
Would I reccomend this? Hard to say. If we could host these events requraly and we'd have enough people driving for it it could be a bit more fun, but I doubt a lot of folks will get it because it pays extra (I think it was 15€ if you own BCS).
I don't see many English language events popping up and driving for events not hosted by our company does not benefit our company at all (I don't know if you even get any BCS EXP points for driving those.
